Moscow - Berlin High-Speed Swift Train
A new high-speed train saw the world on December 17, 2016 connecting two fabulous capitals - Moscow and Berlin. Undoubtedly, the train is called like this for obvious reasons. Covering the distance of 1896 km, it takes only 20 hours and 14 minutes to get from one capital to the other which is almost 5 hours less compared to the travel time of other trains operating on the route. The new Swift runs twice a week departing from Kursky Station in Moscow at 13:05 on Saturdays and Sundays and arriving at the East Station in Berlin at 07:19 on Sundays and Mondays respectively. Running through the territory of four countries including Belarus, the travelers must have a Belarusian transit visa, if it is required, to get to the place of destination. The Swift train is made up by 20 carriages, produced by a Spanish manufacturer Talgo. Besides the passenger carriages, there is also a restaurant car and a car-buffet in the train composition where each traveler has a possibility to enjoy a variety of snacks, hot meals, desserts, and drinks. Moreover, there are specially-equipped carriages for people with special needs. The train provides a number of travel classes suitable for a budget-traveler and for those who prefer traveling with a lot of comfort and privacy as well.
