Changes in Sapsan Train Schedule

Its speed and luxury amenities will remain the same but there will be some minor changes to the Sapsan train schedule from Moscow and St Petersburg this summer. The Sapsan train is known for its 250 km/hr speed, ample foot room, wifi access, convenient luggage storage and friendly staff. It takes care of all your needs from internet connectivity to onboard conference rooms for business travelers and churns you along in a comfort that far exceeds air travel. No security checks or baggage claim lines. With online check-in and only a passport needed to board, passengers board the train at Moskovsky Station in the morning and by noon they are at Leningradskaya Station in Moscow.

In connection to renovations to modernize the track structure between Akademicheskaya – Leontyevo – Vishny Volochek along the Moscow – St Petersburg line, this beloved train will take slightly later departure and arrival times this fall. Delays will be, on average, about 20 minutes later than standard schedule. To eliminate as much inconvenience as possible here’s an amended schedule to help you plan your travels.

The timetable of Sapsan high-speed trains departing from 22 September to 31 October 2014 will be partially changed as follows:

No. 751 St Petersburg – Moscow, departing from St Petersburg at 07:10 instead of 06:45 (+ 25 mins), arriving in Moscow at 11:05 instead of 10:35 (+ 30 mins);

No. 753 St Petersburg – Moscow, departing from St Petersburg at 07:20 instead of 07:00 (+ 20 mins), arriving in Moscow at 11:40 instead of 11:05 (+ 35 mins);

No. 757 St Petersburg – Moscow, departing from St Petersburg at 13:45 instead of 13:30 (+ 15 mins), arriving in Moscow at 18:15 instead of 18:00 (+ 15 mins);

No. 759 St Petersburg – Moscow, departing from St Petersburg at 13:55 instead of 13:45 (+ 10 mins), arriving in Moscow at 18:25 instead of 18:15 (+ 10 mins);

No. 763 St Petersburg – Moscow, departing from St Petersburg at 19:38 instead of 19:25 (+ 13 mins), arriving in Moscow at 23:42 instead of 23:24 (+ 18 mins);

No. 765 St Petersburg – Moscow, departing from St Petersburg at 19:58 instead of 19:45 (+ 13 mins), arriving in Moscow at 23:53, instead of 23:35 (+ 18 mins).

This short inconvenience will hopefully be worth it. It will give way to a modernized track that won’t need reconstruction for years to come.
