Travel by Daily Overnight Megapolis Train
Operated by Tverskoy Express company, Megapolis trains differ from most Russian Railways trains. They were designed to be more homey and practical at the same time and quickly gained popularity among tourists and locals alike. There is no Plazkard (3rd class) onboard, unlike regular Russian trains, but travelers are welcome to choose between Kupe (2nd class) and SV (1st class). Both options boast a modern interior in orange and blue, distinguished colors of Megapolis trains. All compartments are very comfortable and are featured with European power sockets, air-conditioning, lockable doors, and free Wi-Fi. There is a restaurant car onboard, offering a wide choice of local specialties. What is more, the Megapolis trains run between beautiful Moscow and the charming city of Saint Petersburg only at night, making them a perfect option for those who don't mind spending a night traveling through the picturesque Russian countryside.
