2nd class compartment has 4 beds, two lower and two upper bunk beds. Each compartment has a table, a mirror, lockable doors, a large panoramic window. Air conditioning is available and bedding is included in the ticket price. 2nd class cabins are an economy way of traveling and if you purchase less than 4 tickets, you will be sharing cabin with other travelers. Meals, drinks and snacks are available for purchase.
3rd class train cars (carriages) are similar to 2nd class except that cabins don’t have doors and there are two additional side beds in each compartment. The lower side berth may be transformed into a window table with two seats when not being used as a bed. Bedding is not included in the price of the tickets; it can be purchased onboard for a nominal fee. Meals, drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the train restaurant available on most overnight trains. Since there is no privacy in 3rd class cabins we do not recommend this class to our customers. A/C is not available
Third class ("Plazkart" in Russian) is the cheapest and least comfortable way to travel overnight. Compartments in third class are not separated by doors so there is no privacy. We do not recommend our customers to travel in third class sleepers unless they purposefully seek such travel experience.
