Day 10 - Exiting Siberia
Siberia is a huge, distant, and sometimes isolated region, but it is not always desolate. In fact, on this journey, we will be visiting Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia, and one of the largest cities in Russia. In 1962, it was one of the youngest cities to reach a population of one million people. It had developed so rapidly that it had achieved this population in only 70 years time! Today, it is still an important scientific center and even Microsoft maintains offices there.
Day 11 - The Ural Mountains
On this day, our train will cross through the beautiful and wild Ural Mountains. The Ural Mountains are one of the oldest mountain ranges in history and have become a natural border between Europe and Asia. They hold some of Russia's most pristine wild-life -- including the Virgin Komi Forests, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to being the largest virgin forest in Europe!
Sometimes known as the Great Stone Belt, the Urals have been the backbone of Russia's industrial production for over 300 years and they hold 48 out of the 55 main types of natural resources available. It is also one of the few places where you can find rock crystal -- which were popular in the Czarist Regime and can be seen in the Hermitage, today.

Day 12 - Welcome to Russia's capital!
Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to take you on your very first day of the city tour of Moscow. Be prepared for one of the most interesting tours in the world, as we take you on an exploration of the amazing sights of Moscow -- including the famous and well-recognized Red Square, the majestic Kremlin citadel -- full of Russian history -- and the unique St. Basil's Cathedral, built by the infamous Ivan the Terrible in the 15th century.
You will have your own professional and private tour guide to give you the most of your tour and answer all of your questions!
Some of the most interesting sights in Moscow are located on the Red Square -- including the gloomy tomb of Lenin, the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, the ancient citadel known as the Kremlin, and the buoyant merchant street Kitai Gorod.
The Kremlin of Moscow is perhaps the most recognizable symbol of Russia and one of the world's most interesting castles. This ancient citadel was constructed in 1147 to defend the city from the Mongols and the Lithuanians. Moscow has grown beyond the original walls in that time, but the Kremlin has always remained a symbol of political power in Russia.
St. Basil's Cathedral is one of the most famous works of architecture in Moscow and its silhouette is one of the most recognizable symbols of Moscow and Russia. This colorful cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Basil the Blessed, was built between 1555 and 1561.

Day 13 - Moscow
One of the most interesting sights of Moscow is located deep underneath the surface. On Stalin’s order, Moscow’s Subway was built by the Soviets in order to display the advantages of socialism. Today, the Soviet Union is gone, but the beautiful, gigantic, underground city is still active and carries millions of passengers each day. We will even take you on a quick subway ride for a taste of Moscow living. Then we will head to the best art gallery in the city called Tretyakov Picture Gallery. Tretyakov Picture Gallery is Moscow's most famous collection of art and one of the world's top art galleries. The gallery started as the private collection of a wealthy Moscow merchant, Tretyakov, who lived in the 19th century and donated his collection to the city.
Moscow Subway was constructed by the Soviets not just to streamline the city's transportation, but also to celebrate the accomplishments of the Soviet system. The entire subway is a work of art - socialist realism for the most part. On top of immense cultural value, Moscow's subway is a super efficient transportation system that carries 3 million passengers daily and spans the entire city in a star-like fashion. Interestingly, the Subway of Moscow was also designed to play the role of a nuclear shelter in case of a nuclear war.

Day 14 - End of the Tour
This is the last day of your tour. Your driver will take you to the airport. You will be leaving for home fascinated with Russia and her two beautiful capitals - Moscow and St Petersburg. We hope that you will be satisfied with your journey, and that you will come back to Russia again soon.
