Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 - Beijing
This morning, you will depart the capital of China to start your your exciting journey across Eurasia. During this day, our train will pass through rural China, beautiful mountainous and valleys, and the Great Wall of China.

Day 2 - Gorkhi National Park
This morning our train will cross the Mongolian border. We will reach Ulan-Bator, the capital of Mongolia in the afternoon. You will be met at the train station by our guide, who will then take you to the Gorkhi Terelj National Park. The dinner served at the camp will be followed by a walking tour of the hills, an excursion to the Turtle Rock and the Center of Mediation. You will return to the Ger camp for the night. (D)

Day 3 - Ulan-Bator
Breakfast at the camp will be followed by free time. You can spend this day exploring the national park. At 1 pm, we will drive your hotel in Ulan-Bator.

Day 4 - Ulan-Bator
10:00 Full day city tour that includes Gandan Monastery and the National History Museum.
13:00 Lunch at a local restaurant (cost is not included in the price of the tour).
15:00 Free time at the shopping street and visit to Zaisan Hill for a panoramic view of the city
18:00 Performance of the Mongolian folk music and dance with the traditional meal.
19:30 Return to hotel.

Day 5 - Depart Mongolia, enter Siberia
This afternoon, you will board the train that will take you across the border to Siberia.

Day 6 - Irkutsk
Our train arrives to Irkutsk - the capital of East Siberia - in the afternoon. Upon arrival we will take you to Listvyanka Village on the shore of Lake Baikal. You will check-in to your chalet and enjoy beautiful evening and barbecue by the world's most amazing lake. (D)

Day 7 - The Baikal Lake
10:00 Visit to the Museum of Wooden Architecture.
13:30 Lunch at a Siberian restaurant "Sibirskaya Zaimka"
15:00 Return to Listvyanka village with a stop at Shaman's Rock.
17:30 Optional sauna in Russian banya (included in the price of the tour, but must be pre-booked).
19:30 Evening at the chalet. (B, L, D)

Day 8 - The Lake Baikal
10:00 Visit to a Buryat (the indigenous people of Siberia). You will experience local greeting ceremony, including the Shaman ritual and visit to Yurt to sample local teas and join in a traditional meal.
19:00 Return to Irkutsk. (B, L)
OR
10:00 Full-day ferry trip around the Lake Baikal including passage over Baikal Railroad, which is one of the most complicated stretches of railways in the world that includes 39 tunnels. We will stop at the most picturesque places on our way to experience this amazing nature and visit marble mines of Slyudyanka. (B, L)

Day 9 - Irkutsk
Three centuries ago, Irkutsk was Russia's largest trading post in Siberia. It was from here that Russian merchants started their expeditions of Kamchatka and Alaska and trade caravans to China. We will explore the city on this day, visiting local churches and museums. We will also take you to the house of "Decemrists" - the nobles who were sent to Siberia by the Tsar after their unsuccessful revolt in early 19th century.

Day 10 - Altai Mountains
During this day we will be passing Sayany, a gorgeous mountain range in the southern part of Siberia. It features breathtaking landscapes, rich wildlife and untouched nature. Siberia is distant, but not desolate. In fact, your train will stop in Krasnoyarsk, a city of almost a million inhabitants in Eastern Siberia, and then in Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia, which has almost as many inhabitants as Atlanta. Novosibirsk is an important scientific center and even Microsoft has a large office there.

Day 11 - The Ural Mountains
This day our train will cross the Ural Mountains, which divide Europe and Asia. The Urals have been the backbone of Russia's industrial production for over 300 years. Ural Mountains has 48 out of 55 main types of natural resources. It is also one of the few places where you can find rock crystal. Especially popular in Czars Russia, items from this material could be seen today in Hermitage. We will make a brief stop in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the region, and by the evening, our train will reach the Great Russian Plain.

Day 12 - Moscow
Welcome to Moscow. The historic capital of Russia and its largest and most vibrant city. We will meet you at the train station and take you to the hotel to rest after your exciting journey.

Day 13 - Moscow
This day is reserved for an in-depth exploration of Russia's capital. There will be a quick orientation meeting in the morning after which we will take you to famous Red Square and the Kremlin. Today, you will go on one of the most interesting tours in the world as we explore Moscow's most amazing sites. We will explore the famous Red Square and go inside of St. Basil Cathedral built by Ivan the Terrible in 15th century. We will take you inside of Kremlin on a thorough tour of Russian history. You will explore the Moscow's most amazing sites with your own professional private guide.

Day 14 - Moscow
Today, we will take Moscow Subway to reach Tretyakov Picture Gallery. Afternoon is yours to explore the city and in the evening we will board an overnight train that will take us to North, to the banks of the Baltic Ocean and one of the most beautiful cities on our planet - St. Petersburg. (B)

Day 15 - St. Petersburg
Welcome to St. Petersburg - a living museum of Russian and European history. Your driver and the guide will pick your up at the train station and take you on the tour of the city. We will start from Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaak's Cathedral and Church on the Spilled Blood. (B, L)
Day 16 - Peterhof
Peterhof is a royal residence on the outskirts of the city. It is most famous for its fountain park that rivals that of Versailles. Peterhof was the official summer residence of Russian Tsars and is home to the Summer Palace. Lunch at "Gallery Restaurant" of Peterhof is included in the price.

Day 17 - Catherine's Palace
Pushkin (also known as Tsarskoe Selo, which translates as the Village of the Tsars ) is where you will find gorgeous Catherine's Palace. Peter the Great gave this palace as a gift to his beloved wife. The palace is most famous for the Amber Room that was looted by Germany troops during World War II never to be found again. The room was restored from scratch during the last decade.
Day 18 - Catherine's Palace
This is a last day of your tour. Your driver will meet you at the hotel lobby to take you to the airport. You will be leaving Russia with memories of a lifetime. You will have explored three incredible civilizations: the Russians, the Chinese and the Mongols. And, you have traveled around the world crossing the entire Eurasia by land. This adventure will always be at your heart.
