What is an e-ticket?
When you book a ticket online we will assign your name to particular seats to reserve them for you. We will send your e-ticket to your email address for you to print out the ticket and bring with you to the train station. (How to download tickets?)
If your train does not support electronic registration, we will send you instructions where and how you should pick up your boarding pass or arrange a paper ticket delivery.
If we instruct you to pick up a boarding pass, you will need to arrive to the train station at least 30 minutes before departure and pick up your boarding pass at the station ticket window or from a self-ticketing kiosk. To pick up your ticket, you will need to show your passports and a reservation number.
When will I get my tickets?
When do I get my ticket if I am booking less than 45 days before departure
If you are booking less than 45 days ahead of your departure date, the final confirmation will arrive in one business day from this moment. For reservations placed on Saturday please expect the confirmation to arrive on Monday.
When do I get my ticket when I book more than 45 days prior to departure?
Seats on most trains can only be assigned not earlier than 45 days before departure date. You can make a reservation earlier than that, of course, but the final booking confirmation with the seat assignment will be sent to you 45 days before your departure date.
When will I receive the paper ticket?
If you have booked a paper ticket, it will be delivered to the address that you provided. If you need to inquiry the status of delivery, please respond to this email.
When do I need to use a paper ticket?
You will need a paper ticket for all international routes if they are departing outside of Russia. For some international routes departing from Moscow or St. Petersburg you can use e-tickets, such as Moscow – Kiev or Moscow – Minsk routes. When you make a Search of tickets on this site, we will tell you about all available ticket options. If e-tickets are available, we will recommend using them. If not, we will offer you a paper ticket with an option of worldwide delivery, either to your home or to your hotel.
Can I have ticket delivered?
Yes, of course. If you decide (or have to) to book a paper ticket, we will arrange delivery of it. The tickets will be delivered to your hotel or other address that you provide one day prior to your departure. International delivery is also available, but for additional cost.
